I worked part-time in a department store as a cashier. If an item was opened, damaged or missing pieces that item was marked down for resale. However, if the item was broken, it was ineligible for resale and had to be thrown out. I was in awe as to the amount of price reduction to a product or items that were thrown away because they were considered ineligible for resale.
Me personally, I have found great furniture at a reduction in price because they were damaged, ineligible for resale. I remember purchasing a marble dining room table that was originally $1500 for $150 because the marble had a small chip that wasn’t noticeable until the salesman pointed it out. Well this table has been in my family for over 10 years and it still looks the same being utilized for its intended purpose. It’s funny how one person can decrease the value of a thing because they perceived it to be damaged or ineligible for resale.
That’s how it is in life. We as women have suffered through many emotional and physical challenges and the world has reduced our value and considered us to be damaged goods ineligible for resale. You are not your past mistakes. You are not the label the world placed on you are a single mother, a divorcee, not of the same economical or educational background etc….You are fearfully and wonderfully made. The ruler of your destiny. You are valuable.
I challenge you today to pick up the pieces. Any open item can be closed. Any damage item can be repaired. Increase your value and get back in the fight! You are eligible for resale. Take the label off you that you may have placed upon yourself or allow society to place upon you. You are who God says you are. Never again let another situation or person reduce your value. Broken things are mended when they are placed in the hands of the Potter.
